Guidelines for public participation and disclosure of environmental information

In August 2015 EELC published new guidelines to introduce the Aarhus convention and EU rules on environmental information disclosure and public participation in environmental decision-making. The guidelines are primarily meant as a practical tool for officials dealing with environmental issues but can also be used by other people interested in the topic. To improve the readability and clarity of text, help of professional communication specialists was used.

The Guidelines introduce international law and EU level requirements and their application practice. The illustrated Guidelines can be found on our web page (unfortunately only in Estonian):

In September 2015 the authors of the publication introduced the Guidelines via three seminars in Pärnu, Tallinn and Tartu.
