Non-profit association Ökomeedia, Estonian Environmental Law Centre and Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations (EMSL) are co-operating on a project entitled "Increasing the administrative capacity of local governments in making environmental decision related to development and involving the local population".
In the course of the project, local government officials shall be trained in planning procedures, SEA and involving the public. The trainings shall be carried out in spring 2010, EELC shall present related judgments and motivation of the decisions. A handbook with the instructions on how to carry out the procedure will also be compiled, to be published by October 2010.
The project is financed by the support scheme for regional development of Norway and European Economic Area (EEA), which is coordinated by Enterprise Estonia.
